Per Kristian Skalstad

Skalstad was educated as a violinist at the Norwegian Academy of Music and has, for years, been a member of the sucessful Oslo String Quartet, which he helped to found in 1991.  He was one of the alternating concert masters at The Norwegian Opera from 1993 to 2005, and is still a member of The Norwegian Chamber Orchestra.  He received a diploma in conducting at NMH in 2002, and has since then quickly developed a career in conducting.  He has conducted all of the professional Norwegian symphony orchestras and is a regularly used guest conductor at The Norwegian Opera and Ballett.
